Jiepin Cao, PhD, MS, RN, is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Center for the Study of Asian American Health at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. Her research focuses on advancing health equity among Asian Americans, women, immigrants, and other historically marginalized groups. Her current research aims to: 1) unravel the impact of social and structural drivers on inequities in exposure to violence/trauma and access to services; 2) examine the role of violence/trauma in stigmatizing mental and sexual health conditions (e.g., depression and HIV); and 3) develop equitable and sustainable solutions to promote mental health equity.
