Dr. Jing Liu is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, NYU Langone Health. Her research focuses on examining the impact of multiple chronic conditions (e.g., breast cancer and type 2 diabetes) on aging, with a primary emphasis on Asian American populations. She is currently leading a small research grant funded by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, which explores access to care among Chinese American breast cancer survivors.

Description of the Study:

In this pilot project, she will utilize data from the New York City Community Health Survey to estimate the prevalence of multiple chronic conditions and to examine disparities across ethnic subgroups, including Asian American populations. The results are expected to generate critical evidence on multimorbidity patterns in New York City by ethnic group and to inform the design of future studies focused on the management of multiple chronic conditions.
