Mina has been involved in victim services work since law school. After working at a law firm, she served as in-house counsel for Safe Horizon, providing legal support for 9/11 relief programs. For the last decade, she has provided pro bono services for Womankind, which provides social services to Asian domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, and AKAM, an association of Korean American physicians in the New York metropolitan area. Over the last two decades, she has gained deep understanding of the patients’ perspectives through experiencing personal health challenges and providing care for elderly relatives with wide-ranging health issues, including mental illness and dementia.
